3 Acupressure points and a Tea to Relieve Holiday’s Stress – A true gift

Touching with purpose, massaging Acupressure points and taking the right drink for the seasons is a great gift for yourself, your love ones and friends who are stressed or need healing.

In the spirit of giving for the holidays, in this article, you’ll learn three important acupressure points used for releasing shoulder tension and neck pain – a common area where most people store their holiday stress –  and a simple stress-relieving Tea that also help in digestion to counteract the effect of the sumptuous and rich meals, wherever you are during these holidays.

The 3 Acupoints are GB 21 (Jianjing), GB 20 (Fengchi), BL10 (Tianzhu) and the medical diet Tea is Hawthorn Wolfberry tea

 GB 21 (Jianjing) big

GB 21 (Jianjing) is on the top of the shoulders, midway between outside base of your neck and the tip of the acromion, at the crest of the trapezius muscles. This stress relief acupressure point is where you have the most tension in your trapezius muscles. It’s easiest to use the opposite hand to press this point. Feel for the tension, by curving your fingers to hook and firmly rubbing the Jianjing for 20 times. 5-10 times a day.

GB 20 (Fengchi) big

GB 20 (Fengchi) is located in the hollows underneath the base of your skull, In parallel on both sides of its back tendons and earlobe. Using the thumb of the both hands to rub the  Fengchi, until the local area feels warm and the body feels relaxed.  This great acupressure point further releases shoulder pain, neck stiffness, and tension headaches. Use the thumb and index finger massage the Fengchi for  20 times. 5-10 times a day.

BL10 (Tianzhu) big

BL10 (Tianzhu)  is on the back of your neck, just one thumb width down from you skull, 1.3 cun lateral to the mid-line, at the height of the spinous process of C1. This acupressure point is good for hormonal balance, since it benefits the thyroid gland and the most effective acupoint treatment for depression. Use the thumb and index finger massage the Tianzhu for 20 times. 5-10 times a day.

Hawthorn Wolfberry tea

Hawthorn can stimulate appetite and improve digestion, regulate blood circulation, and has effect in improve immunity, anti-aging, regulate blood sugar and blood lipids. Wolfberry can nourish liver and kidney systems, and help regulate blood pressure, cholesterol and has beauty effect.

Method:

Hawthorn 20 g, Wolfberry 10 g.

Wash and sliced the hawthorn, brewed with boiling water with washed wolfberry for 30 minutes. The drink is rosy in colour and is perfect for the seasons.
