The Creative Process

Creative process is the act of producing something new. It can be making artwork or designing a new digital product. In general from what I have seen across different sources and the general practices that I have, the creative process often goes by this flow. Brief > Research > Ideation > Execution >Presentation >Feedback. (presentation and feedback can go back and forth several times)

Reflecting a little, did I really have a fixed process, actually although I tend to use the usual process as stated above as a general backbone structure. Sometimes, an idea would come first or I would just begin with the execution. Having the stages mixed up can be messy and disorganised and I would credit it for a general process. Having a streamlined creative process would make it easier to produce better creative work as well as making the process more smooth and efficient.

However, by focusing on a generic creative process, I might create an ironic situation which would make it too orderly and structured which would not be a fertile environment for ‘creativity’. Furthermore, a fixed process may not work for all and each creative process has to be adapted to each project.Hence, I am not going to provide any fixed argument here, However an organised yet adaptable is what I believe I should be working towards
