Gevacian People and Culture

Gevacian People refers to a group of ethno-linguistic people that speaks a language under the Gevacian Language family as their native language. Nations with significant Gevacian speaking populations include Datrolle, Iltralpe, as well as the many Gelentido States

History

Prehistory

The urheimat (ancestral homeland) of Gevacian people is located around the west of Itralpe.

Spread and Migration

The Gevacian people would later migrate across to regions such as the Gelentido river and would reach as far east to bordering Droipoinian Territories (More details-TBC)

Culture

Religion and Philosophy

Proto-Gevacian culture values connection with everything that exist in this universe. That includes One’s self, People as well as the Environment. This is also being expressed in modern Gevacian cultures. Gevacian people believe in self expression as an important part of someone life.

Gevacian people believes in the tripartite soul. (The Mind, Soul and Body).

The arts

The artwork of ethno-linguistic cultures can vary in style, from a more realistic interpretations by the Datrollians to the more minimalist style by the Gelentidos. However, all Gevacian speaking culture values art as an important form of communication and should be held a status in someone’s life as important as verbal language is in day to day life.

Fashion and Clothing

Often, clothing is classified the part of if not similar to the arts as a medium to communicate your personality and individuality. Proto-Gevacian people would decorate on their outfits with signs that associate with them. A person’s outfit is considered to be an essential part of non-verbal communication. Both male and female outfit are the same.

Proto-Gevacian also would wear a set of complementry ‘clothing’ called Yeongrata which consist of

  1. Kretasral two(or one) strips on the chest and belly
  2. Mesone. On the side of the upper arm 
  3. Melkotes. On the wrist 
  4. Etosol. On the thigh 
  5. Kevosial. In between ankle and knee.
