Gelentido People

Gelentido People are the ethno-linguistic group that are descended from the Gelentido Civilisation.

History

Gelentido people are descended from Southern Gevacian People that migrated to the region the Gelentido River. There used to be several group of similar cultured people across the river. The identity of the Gelentido formed when the Gelentido civilisation is formed

Culture

Philosophy and Religion

Gelentido people are considered to respect intellect and the pursuit of information and knowledge. Being knowledgable and having the ability to think critically is considered to be a goal a person should have.

Gelentido practise a sort of ancestral worship in which the knowledge of the ancestors should be passed down. And people should interact with the ‘people of the past’ while also making an effort to send a message to the ‘people of the future’

Art and Culture

Gelentido Art is often simple, often in a simplified minimalist and almost Geometric style and often feature a strong line art. Gelentido People often express their emotions through writing (often in the form of poetry or simply writing statements). Gelentido Music is often plain and monotonous and can sometimes be repetitive.

Clothing

Gelentido common outfit often feature a dark brown, black or dark grey. Which they would often have inscription in white or pale colours of either words or images. Gelentido Main Class(caste) namely the Ruler, Scholar, Merchant and Warrior would also have their role outfits. Just as other Gevacian mindsets on outfits, which is that wearing outfit (for a civilised one) should not be just wearing and ‘looking good’ but also to communicate oneself to others.
